Darah Doty came to ICS by way of South Carolina. The opportunity to teach at a strong Christian school motivated Darah to apply for the second grade teacher position.
The oldest of four boys, he grew up in New Hampshire, where his parents made sacrifices to send him and his brothers to a Christian school. After graduating, he met his wife in college. He then moved to Indiana, where he served as the assistant pastor at a church for several years.
Lucy’s class graduated 26 students. She believes being part of such a small class led to the opportunity to be poured into by all of her teachers. Making the jump from ICS to a large state university was not without its challenges. Lucy looks back on the small classrooms and appreciates the one on one attention and conversations that she had with her teachers and other students.
The art department at ICS exists to encourage students wherever they are in their capacity and skill to express their God-given creativity…
